My friend and postdoctoral advisor, Dr. Edgar Spalding, set up a website (or perhaps his lab set up the website) on Facebook. I can't see it because I'm not a Facebook user and I don't know that I want to be.
Certain students coming through my lab used to use Facebook. Over their shoulders I see them in their sleazy makeup hanging on strange men. And the women are just as bad!
I'm not quite sure that I need the venue, or if the street cred of our lab notches up or down by being there. Certainly Edgar has raised the collective IQ of the institution a few points.
We'll just have to see. Any suggestions?
